Vehicles with special rights within the meaning of § 35 (6) of the German Road Traffic Regulations, i.e. vehicles that are used during construction or maintenance or clearing of roads and installations in road traffic, or winter road maintenance vehicles have to be equipped - according to DIN 30710 - with safety markings (retro-reflective vehicle warning sheeting) (§ 52 German StVZO, § 35 (6) German StVO). The white and red slopes of the warning marking must be fully retro-reflective (at least reflection class RA 2, formerly type II).
