The intelligent energy management system of the lamp combines a solar panel and innovative storage technology to conserve the battery. Significantly extended operating times will be achieved, depending on the operational conditions.
Intelligent energy management
The TopLED Greenline EMS features innovative storage components, which efficiently store solar energy and release it precisely when sunlight decreases, thus providing a completely self-sufficient system. Our concept takes the proven principle of modern solar lighting systems a decisive step further: the battery is designed purely as a backup system. It is only activated when the energy-storage unit is completly depleted (e.g. after several days without significant solar input). Thanks to this technological optimisation, the battery functions solely as a secondary reserve, significantly extending its service life compared to conventional systems. This intelligent combination is achieved by the innovative energy management system (EMS) in the new TopLED lamp.
Made from bioplastic
In addition to using renewable energy, the new luminaire has another sustainability feature: the housing and battery compartment of the TopLED Greenline EMS are made from sugarcane-based bioplastic, eliminating the need for petroleum.
